Welcome to Dishforth Parish Councils Website.

We are now back up and running and wanted to share with you some facts about the parish.

Dishforth is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire.

The name Dishforth translates from the Old English as dic-ford; a ford by a dike or ditch.

The Electoral Roll 2022 -2023 shows 762 electors (residents who can vote in an election), and approximately 405 dwellings.

Dishforth is located north of Dishforth Airfield, which up until April 2016 was an Army Air Corps helicopter station.

The ordinary meeting scheduled for the 16th July 2024 has been cancelled and an Extraordinary meeting has been called by the Chairman to take place on Friday 12th July 2024 at 7.00pm. The agenda will be published in due course on the agenda meetings page at least three clear days prior to the meeting date.
