Dishforth Village is located at the junction of the A1 and the A168.  Although there isn’t a village shop, it is handily located between Boroughbridge, Ripon and Thirsk.

The village has a school (Dishforth Cof E Primary School), a part time Post Office and two Public Houses. There is an active outdoor Bowling Club with a Sports field and Sports Pavilion.  To the rear of the sports pavilion is a children’s play area.

In the centre of the village is the Village Hall, with Wi-Fi, which is available to hire for functions or classes.

There are limited bus services to Thirsk, Northallerton and Ripon. Bus service for details
